Privacy Policy — Hutchly

Effective: July 24, 2026

What is Hutchly?

Hutchly is a family organizer app for iPhone. It helps households manage their shared calendar, chores, meals, grocery lists, and allowances. This policy explains what information the app collects and how it is used.

What We Collect

Your account

To create an account, we collect your email address. Your password is never stored by us — it is managed securely by Firebase Authentication (Google).

Your household data

Information you enter into the app — family member names, calendar events, chores, meal plans, and grocery lists — is stored in Firebase Firestore and synced across your household's devices. This data is only visible to people who have joined your household using your unique join code.

Crash and performance data

Firebase may collect anonymous crash reports and basic performance data to help us identify bugs. This data is not linked to your identity.

What We Don't Collect

• We do not collect your location

• We do not collect your contacts

• We do not track your behavior across other apps or websites

• We do not sell your data

• We do not show ads

Notifications

Event reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to our servers.

Children

Parents may add child family members by name and avatar. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All child profiles are created and managed by the adult account holder.

Data Deletion

To delete your account and all associated data, email us at jasonchutches@gmail.com. We will permanently remove your data within 30 days.

Third-Party Services

Hutchly uses Firebase (by Google) for account management and data storage. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by Firebase: policies.google.com/privacy
